Psoriasis and Chronic Skin Disorders

Psoriasis and chronic skin disorders focus on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of long-term dermatologic conditions that significantly impact quality of life. Participants will explore immune-mediated diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, lichen planus, and chronic urticaria, emphasizing evidence-based treatment approaches. Advances in systemic therapies, biologics, and targeted treatments have transformed outcomes for patients with moderate to severe disease. The topic also covers comorbidities associated with chronic skin disorders, including cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and psychosocial challenges. Early recognition, individualized care plans, and patient education are emphasized to improve adherence and long-term management. By the end of this discussion, participants will understand modern strategies for treating chronic dermatologic conditions and integrating comprehensive care to enhance patient outcomes.
